    In only a year we went from only a handful of colors of PLA+ to much of the rainbow. I have + in all kinds of colors. Multiple blues, a couple great oranges, all the primaries, battleship grey(my favorite) hell I even have a kaki tan that I like a lot. I also have less trouble with the + over standard PLA, with the slightly higher bed temperatures I find it easier to get good first layer adhesion without any added treatments.

    Hi, at the end you say that the PLA should be smoothed using solvents. But which solvent? So far what I read is, that it is really hard as e.g. acetone doesnt work. Which one would you recommend?

    I found your video most interesting & informative, but could you tell me if this material is better in a heated chamber I do a lot of nylon and I find I get no distortion if the chamber is heated is it the case with this ? Many thanks Andy

      Thank you, Andy. The approach will depend on the filament's manufacturer and the raw material used in its fabrication. Generally, applying a bit of heat is beneficial for reducing tension in the printed part. However, this is not as critical for reinforced filaments as it is for materials such as ABS or PC, for example.

      PLA wouldn't be the best filament to use for waterproof parts. I printed PETG Transparent using spiral vase mode with a 0.4mm nozzle with thickest layer width possible and its not just waterproof, it completely watertight!

    This is hands down the worst printer I've ever owned. It has eaten through hundreds of hours in productivity trying to troubleshoot based off guides that are 5 years old. I've spent probably close to $500 in parts for poorly designed cables and cable routes in under a year. You can't change the nozzles out without changing the entire hotend assembly - heat sink, heater, heating block, etc - which has to come from BCN3D. Their support department is basically non-existent unless you have hundreds of thousands invested in their hardware, and if you live in the US you can count on things like $85 in shipping to have a single cable sent overseas, because they don't maintain a well stocked parts reseller stateside. Also, good luck finding parts on their website. If you need to order a part from them, you have to use google to find it because it's not listed under their consumables and they don't have a parts ordering page.

    Probably a very weird question, but I'm making a cosplay costume, and I need a visor for it. Typically, people vacuum form it, but I'm interested in trying this method out. However the visor is usually tinted. Do you think it's possible to tint or dye this black?

    I using one E27, it is absolutely shit fot this cost. Just now it is stopped when printed 18 hours of 20 hours job. It just stay and do not do nothing. Reset will helps, but it is not return filament and time. The same happened not first time, unfortunately.

    THANK YOU this was really helpful so basically i got 3D printer a couple of days ago and My PLA kept turning into noodle shapes but when i saw that you have to change the length between the bed and nozzle i tried it AND IT WORKED😃 i was ready to give up but when i saw this video it gave me hope thank you so much this video should have more likes!🤩🥳❤

    It only tests against one liquid, which is some Nitro-P paint solvent. Not very "ultimate".
